HP has announced the mt42, dubbed the world’s thinnest, lightest and most powerful quad-core mobile thin client weighing in at just 3.41lbs and measuring only .74 inches in thickness. Offering up to 3.0 GHz with AMD quad-core processing technology, the HP mt42 provides 10% higher clock speed as well as an additional two cores of processing power than the previous generation.

Offering up to 3.0 GHz with AMD quad-core processing technology, the HP mt42 provides 10% higher clock speed as well as an additional two cores of processing power than the previous generation.

The HP mt42 is designed for business customers in the financial, healthcare, training, services and government sectors that need a reliable and secure mobile-cloud access point built for virtualized environments. Equipped with a 14-inch diagonal full HD5 display, the HP mt42 is capable of displaying a resolution of 1920 x 1080 as well as a USB-C port and 150 degree extra-wide hinge range for variety viewing options. Additionally, it also features HP’s new advanced spill-resistant keyboard and touchpad with four external click-buttons.

The HP mt42 leverages the Next-generation AMD Carrizo Quad-Core processing technology and AMD Radeon R6 Graphics make HP’s new thin client a serious productivity performance. In addition, its included management and user experience software, including HP Device Manager, HP Velocity, and HP Easy Shell are included at no additional cost. Customers will also have the option of Windows Embedded 7E (32-bit) and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for Thin Clients.

Availability

The HP mt42 is expected to be available later this year.
