Today HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston Technology, announced new gaming microSD cards. The cards come in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The new cards provide the capacity and speed needed for mobile gamers as well as those that enjoy the Nintendo Switch.
Mobile gaming has been expanding with the proliferation of smartphones and tablets. Recreational users are on their mobile devise much more so than their consoles or gaming rigs. As the games improve in quality (graphics, story, and gameplay), they tend to take up more and more valuable space. For devices that are compatible (Android tablets, Kindles, and Nintendo Switch gaming systems), users can add microSD cards to keep from pulling space form needed daily applications. HpyerX is bringing new microSD cards for the sole purpose of gaming.
As stated, the new cards run in capacity to 256GB, more than enough for most mobile games. The cards also promise speeds of 100MB/s read and 80MB/s write (exceeding Nintendo’s requirements for the Switch). The cards meet the UHS-I, CL10, Speed Class (U3), A1 performance requirements.
