The drive is ideal for enterprise and government usage where security concerns around mobile data are at an all time high.
Built on the same technology as the Imation’s FIPS-certified flash drive, the IronKey H300 is a secure, military-grade external hard drive that is built to withstand years of wear and tear. The drive uses IronKey Silver Bullet Service and Active Malware Defense, through IronKey Enterprise Management Service, enabling IT departments to re-commission inactive devices, remotely wipe stolen or lost devices, and reset passwords (without wiping the drive) all from the cloud. There is also an in-house solution, IronKey Enterprise Management Server, for managing the device for those without the cloud-based version.
Key features include:
- USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatibility)
- Cloud-based management console
- Remote wiping
- Secure password reset without erasing the data
- AES 256-bit hardware encryption
- Section 508 compliant control panel available in 8 languages
- Up to 1TB of capacity
- 5-year warranty
Imation is also offering the IronKey Basic H300. This drive includes all of the features of the enterprise version without the management. The drives use the IronKey Cryptochip to “avert even the most persistent hackers from getting access to the encrypted content on the drive.”
Availability and Pricing
Both the IronKey Basic H300 and Enterprise H300 are available now. Pricing begins at $199 for the 500GB and $249 for the 1TB. Enterprise management license fees for the Enterprise H300 start at $24/year for management in the cloud.
