Start-up company Infinitec has announced the IUM, a USB device that acts as an ad-hoc stemming device allowing computers to send content back and forth to one another.

No data is actually stored on the device. Once a file is tagged for sharing using the included software, it appears in the IUM. The IUM also supports media streaming in full 1080p HD.

It is compatible with any operating system and game consoles (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii). It is a plug-and-play device and requires no special drivers.

The IUM is available for pre-order now at $129 and will ship August 31.
