Intel introduced the Intel Core Ultra processors targeting everyone.

At CES 2025, Intel unveiled its latest advancements in mobile computing with the introduction of the Intel® Core™ Ultra (Series 2) processors. These processors, designed for business professionals, creators, and gaming enthusiasts, promise to redefine performance with cutting-edge AI enhancements, improved efficiency, and groundbreaking performance metrics.

Transforming Business Productivity: Intel Core Ultra 200V Series

Intel showcased the Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors, aimed at revolutionizing business productivity. Equipped with Intel vPro® technology, these processors deliver significant performance gains, enhanced efficiency, and robust security features to modernize IT environments. By integrating with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PCs, Intel enables advanced AI-driven productivity alongside long-lasting battery life.

Key Features:

  • Enhanced Productivity: Optimized for mobile use, these processors empower AI applications with exceptional battery life in thin-and-light devices.
  • Advanced Security: Intel vPro Security offers the only hardware-assisted security validated by the MITRE ATT&CK framework, supported by over 150 silicon-enabled mitigations. A new Intel® Partner Security Engine protects sensitive data using isolated platforms for third-party firmware, including Microsoft Pluton.
  • Seamless Manageability: Features like Intel® Endpoint Cloud Services and Intel vPro Fleet Services simplify remote support and device management, ensuring rapid recovery from PC outages.
  • Unmatched Stability: With 99.7% application compatibility, the platform ensures smooth IT transitions and device refreshes.

Pavan Davuluri, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President, emphasized the collaboration: “Copilot+ PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V series deliver exceptional performance and are an excellent choice for commercial customers upgrading to Windows 11.”

Powering Creators and Gamers: Intel Core Ultra 200HX and H Series

Intel introduced the Core Ultra 200HX and H series processors for creators and gamers. These processors deliver industry-leading performance and efficiency and significantly reduce power usage, elevating mobile creativity and gaming experiences.

Highlights:

  • Core Architecture: HX-series processors offer up to 24 cores (8 Performance-cores and 16 Efficient-cores), while H-series processors include up to 16 cores. The HX series boasts up to 41% better multi-thread performance than prior generations.
  • Graphics and AI Acceleration: Intel® Arc™ graphics with Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) enable up to 22% better gaming performance, supported by 99 trillion operations per second (TOPS) across CPU, GPU, and NPU.
  • Innovative Packaging: A 33% smaller processor package supports premium thin-and-light designs without compromising performance.

Josh Newman, Vice President of Product Marketing at Intel, highlighted, “These processors redefine laptop experiences with breakthrough compute, graphics performance, and AI capabilities.”

Expanding the Edge: AI Optimization

Intel also announced new processors for edge computing, designed for scalability and superior performance across diverse applications. The Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 processors set benchmarks in AI workloads, demonstrating up to 3.3x higher performance in tasks like Llama 3 8B than the previous generation.

Key Edge Benefits:

  • Exceptional performance in media processing and AI analytics.
  • Better real-world efficiency, surpassing competitors in video analytics and performance per watt metrics.
  • Launch of Arrow Lake and Raptor Lake processor families tailored for edge use cases.
