Kanguru Solutions has announced their latest commercial-use encrypted flash drive, the Defender V2. This latest drive in the Defender series is FIPS 197 certified and has 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption.


Kanguru Solutions has announced their latest commercial-use encrypted flash drive, the Defender V2. The drive has many security features including the following:

  • FIPS 197 Certified, 256-bit AES Hardware Based Encryption
  • Limited Password Attempts
  • Master Password Support
  • Restricted IP Range/Domain Support
  • Anti-Virus/Malware Protection
  • No Administrative Rights Required for Use

The Defender V2 is designed for companies that require a high level of security but do not need some of the features offered in Kanguru’s Defender Elite series such as FIPS 140-2 certification and a tamper-resistant design.

The Defender V2 is available in capacities ranging from 1GB to 128GB. The drive comes with Kanguru Remote Management Console software, which is available as a self-hosted Enterprise Edition or a hosted Cloud Edition.
