Kingston Digital has announced two new hardware encrypted USB Flash drives, the DataTraveler 4000G2 with Management (DT4000G2DM) and DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 with Management (DTVP30DM). These new Kingston portable storage solutions leverage the company's SafeConsole through DataLocker and are designed for organizations that need to meet Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). Kingston Digital has announced two new hardware encrypted USB Flash drives, the DataTraveler 4000G2 with Management (DT4000G2DM) and DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 with Management (DTVP30DM). For maximum security, the DT4000G2DM and DTVP30DM both use 256-bit AES hardware while the former is DT4000G2DM is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated and the latter is FIPS 197 certified. With SafeConsole, Kingston indicates that both drives will have a secure USB management platform with true password management; both remote and local. SafeConsole also gives users the ability to securely reset any forgotten passwords, activate full audit trails, geolocation and geofencing to ensure cross-border compliance, automatic inventory, and features a “remote kill” option in the event the drive becomes lost.
