Kingston has announced its latest business-oriented security product, the DataTraveler 6000 (DT6000). Designed for scenarios where high security is required such as government agencies, the DT6000 is fully encrypted and FIPS certified (140-2 Level 3 Validation).

The drive is available in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB capacities. The drive uses 256-bit AES hardware encryption and will lock itself down after 10 intrusion attempts in addition to destroying the encryption key. The drive features a titanium-coated stainless steel casing and is water resistant. Supported operating systems include Windows 7, Vista, XP, and Mac OS X v10.5+.

Pricing and Availability

The Kingston DT6000 is available now; the drives range in price from $100 to $208, depending on the capacity. It is backed by a five-year limited warranty.
