LaCie has announced the launch of its MyNAS iPhone iPad app, which gives its customers instant, remote access to music, photos, video, and other files while away from home. The MyNAS app is compatible with the LaCie Network Space 2 and Network Space MAX network-attached storage (NAS) devices and is simple, easy to use, and takes only seconds to set up.

MyNAS allows users to download, manage, upload, and even stream certain types of files from their home network using any browser from any computer, smartphone, or tablet. You also have the ability to move files from the device onto the NAS to free up space.

To set up an account, users simply create a unique name for their network storage in the NAS dashboard, and then remotely access the device with a simple web address (e.g. mynas.lacie.com/name).

To download the MyNAS app, visit the iTunes store or use the search function in the App Store. These features will also be available for d2, 2big, and 5big NAS products in the coming weeks.
