Lancium Adds NVIDIA as Investor and Partner, Targeting Gigawatt AI Factories Across a 15GW Pipeline

Lancium has announced a strategic collaboration and investment from NVIDIA to accelerate the deployment of large-scale accelerated computing infrastructure across Lancium’s data center portfolio. Lancium, a Blackstone portfolio company supported by Blackstone Energy Transition Partners and Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, will integrate NVIDIA’s full-stack hardware and software architectures directly into its power-ready campus footprint.

The collaboration positions Lancium’s data center campuses as strategic deployment hubs for NVIDIA accelerated computing, networking, and software stacks. Lancium currently manages 4GW of leased capacity, alongside a development pipeline exceeding 15GW of powered land. The joint initiative aims to deliver turn-key, high-density infrastructure required by cloud service providers, AI-native developers, and enterprise infrastructure teams facing severe grid interconnect and power availability bottlenecks.

DSX Reference Designs, MaxLPS, and Flex

To maximize facility efficiency and compute density, Lancium will build out facilities utilizing NVIDIA DSX reference designs. The same DSX designs underpin the 8 IT-GW PORTS-Pike campus NVIDIA detailed with OpenAI and SB Energy. These designs focus on improving performance per megawatt, lowering time to first token, and reducing overall cost per token. Central to the technical integration is NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS, which allows operators to provision up to 40% more GPUs within the same power budget. Additionally, Lancium is integrating NVIDIA DSX Flex architectures to dynamically modulate facility power draw in response to grid conditions, reinforcing its grid-responsive operating model without compromising sustained workload availability.

Blackstone framed the deal in portfolio terms. “This partnership with NVIDIA is a strong testament to Lancium’s position at the epicenter of energy and AI infrastructure, two of Blackstone’s highest conviction investment themes,” said Bilal Khan, senior managing director at Blackstone.

Neither company disclosed the size of NVIDIA’s investment, and no deployment timelines or campus dates were given.
