Today Lenovo unveiled its new and largest end-to-end data center portfolio. This new portfolio is designed to help its customers to harness the power of the “intelligence revolution” and create a strong technology foundation that supports transformative capabilities such as data analytics, high-performance computing, hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Lenovo is also launching new sets of brands including ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile.

2017 marks the 25th anniversary of Lenovo and to celebrate the company is releasing the ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile data center solutions. According to Lenovo, these new solutions provide organizations with fluid resources that can adapt to the evolving needs of a business. ThinkSystem has been redesigned and now encompasses servers, storage, and networking systems. Building off of ThinkSystem as a foundation, ThinkAgile is Lenovo's new software-defined solutions portfolio. Customers can combine the two new brands to create the foundation of a future-defined data center with simplicity, agility, flexibility, and future-proofed preparation.

From a price perspective, Lenovo states that they are keeping it simple by allowing customers to streamline their IT with ThinkSystem solutions. The new portfolio is engineered to work seamlessly with an organization’s previous investments. Lenovo states that ThinkSystem combines the best of the Systemx from IBM heritage with the Lenovo ThinkServer franchise into a single solution built on a history of more than 150 worldwide record x86 server benchmarks.

Customers need to gain insights quickly and apply them to their business in order to gain an edge over the competition. Using ThinkAgile, customers are able to adapt to changing business needs by delivering the speed, simplified management, and agility of cloud services while retaining control and governance of on-premises IT. ThinkAgile is pre-integrated, pre-built, and pre-tested and delivers automated lifecycle management, decreased TCO, and reduced need for IT resources to maintain the platform. The new ThinkAgile systems include ThinkAgile SX series for Microsoft Azure Stack and the ThinkAgile SX rack level solutions that integrates networking with hyperconverged offerings.
