LenovoEMC Rebranding Iomega Announced

LenovoEMC is announcing the rebranding of their Iomega network storage products and programs which places significance on the identity of the joint venture. The transformation starts with a new Acronis agreement to provide PC backup software for Lenovo storage devices. The new branding means that consumer products that previously solely went by the Iomega branding now take on Lenovo Iomega branding. That includes the desktop single-drive Lenovo Iomega EZ Media and Backup Center, the desktop double-drive Lenovo Iomega ix2-300d Network Storage and the desktop quad-drive Lenovo EMC ix4-300d Network Storage.

The transformation starts with a new Acronis agreement to provide PC backup software for Lenovo storage devices. The new branding means that consumer products that previously solely went by the Iomega branding now take on Lenovo Iomega branding. That includes the desktop single-drive Lenovo Iomega EZ Media and Backup Center, the desktop double-drive Lenovo Iomega ix2-300d Network Storage and the desktop quad-drive Lenovo EMC ix4-300d Network Storage.

The rebranding also applies to professional solutions which take on the LenovoEMC name and drop the Iomega branding. The change covers three desktop models and three rackmount array models that can scale up to 48TB of capacity. Those devices are the Lenovo EMC px2-300d, px4-300d and px6-300d Network Storage, as well as the Lenovo EMC px4-300r, px12-400r, and px12-450r Network Storage Array.

Today, LenovoEMC is also announcing an agreement with Acronis to provide True Image 2013 Lite PC backup software with select Lenovo network storage products. This software provides automatic and continuous file backup protection and restore for Windows PCs.

Also, effective immediately, Lenovo EMC px Series products now include three licenses for ATI Lite per product. In certain parts of the world, Lenovo Iomega ix Series products will include a single license. Lenovo network storage customers can also receive special pricing from Acronis for additional licenses and upgrades.
