NaviSite has introduced NaviCloud Intelligent Storage (NCIS), enabling organizations to store, manage, and protect distributed, unstructured content. NCIS offers IT divisions a managed cloud storage solution that complements existing storage and retention requirements and addresses new business needs for mobility and on-demand storage. NCIS joins NaviSite’s established enterprise-class hosting, managed application, managed messaging and managed cloud services.


NaviSite has introduced NaviCloud Intelligent Storage (NCIS), enabling organizations to store, manage, and protect distributed, unstructured content. NCIS offers IT divisions a managed cloud storage solution that complements existing storage and retention requirements and addresses new business needs for mobility and on-demand storage. NCIS joins NaviSite’s established enterprise-class hosting, managed application, managed messaging and managed cloud services.

According to a February 2012 report from Forrester Research, storage represented, on average, 15% of total IT budgets in 2011, suggesting organizations should consider cloud options before making new investments in enterprise-scale storage infrastructure. NCIS leverages the EMC Atmos cloud platform to make the cloud a viable option for organizations looking to outsource IT infrastructures to lower capital and operational costs.
