Today NetApp Inc. announced a new hyper-converged infrastructure solution powered by VMware EVO: RAIL and NetApp Data ONTAP operating system, the NetApp Integrated EVO: RAIL Solution. The new solution is aimed at enterprises and midmarket organizations, including remote and branch office environments with limited IT resources. This is the latest partnership with VMware and their EVO: RAIL. Others include the HP ConvergedSystem 200-HC EVO: RAIL, Supermicro’s VMware EVO: RAIL, and Dell's software-defined storage solutions for VMware EVO: RAIL.

Along with the simplification of deployment and management, EVO: RAIL will allow customers to reducing operating expenses by fast time-to-value resulting in VMs in minutes, automatic scale out of EVO: RAIL appliances, and simple VM lifecycle management.
The NetApp Integrated EVO: RAIL Solution includes flash-accelerated, scale-out NetApp enterprise storage. Both branch and departmental sites now have an enterprise-proven infrastructure platform (integrating enterprise data center and public clouds) for business critical applications in virtualized environments.
