Data ONTAP Edge addresses the needs of small or remote offices that require local storage with integrated backup that can be operated with minimal on-site IT administration.

NetApp also announced Virtual Storage Console 4.1, a new version of its end-to-end management software. VSC 4.1 adds support for VMware vSphere 5.1, enhanced support for NetApp Cluster-Mode configurations, and online alignment of misaligned virtual machines. Virtual Storage Console 4.1 is now available through the VMware vCenter.
