New QNAP SSD Expansion Cards Now Available

QNAP has announced the QM2-2P-344A and QM2-2P-384A, the company’s newest addition to their budget-friendly QM2 PCIe Gen3 expansion card line. The new cards can be installed in compatible QNAP NAS solutions or Windows/Linux workstations, adding M.2 NVMe SSD slots to their respective systems for those looking to boost system performance and increase storage capacity. The QM2-2P-344A and QM2-2P-384A support the PCIe Gen3x4 and PCIe Gen3x8 interface, respectively.

These QM2 cards have tool-free installation process and feature M.2 SSD thermal sensors, which will allow users to get real-time temperature monitoring. They also come with and an efficient cooling module (heatsink and smart fan) to help prevent overheating and ensure high performance. The QM2 cards can be used for SSD caching (if you have IOPS-demanding applications to run) or enabling tiered storage in QNAP NAS for optimized storage utilization.

In addition, users can leverage the QM2-2P-344A and QM2-2P-384A cards to create NVMe SSD storage volumes for performance-demanding applications like video editing.
