- Featuring 2nd Gen AMD EPYC 7002 series processors, the Transport CX GC68-B8036 accommodates four 3.5” and four 2.5” hot-swap, tool-less drive bays in 1U for both data storage and application cache requirement in data center deployment
- Transport CX TN73-B8037-X4S is a 2U 4-node high-densityserver platform with support for 16 hot-swap, tool-less 2.5” drive bays supporting both NVMe U.2 and SATA devices. The system is ideal for high IOPs server use cases in data centers.
HYCU Announces CSP Program
HYCU announced a new Cloud Services Provider program that allows HYCU Protégé to be leveraged as a data management solution for CSPs. Benefits and possible revenue potential include the following:
- Streamlining Operations to Increase Margin: HYCU’s API first approach for all of its capabilities, service provider focused operations model and ease of integration into existing cloud automation and orchestration frameworks simplifies the adoption of the services. In addition, this also allows the Service Provider to scale up and down with their growth and their customers adoption with very minimal human effort. Additionally, since there are no pre-commits, Service Providers get a true pay as you go service they can turn on and off for customers as customers need.
- Advisory Services to Accelerate New Services: CSPs that are part of this program get to leverage HYCU’s Customer Success team’s expertise in working with large service providers to integrate the new services into Service Provider’s management frameworks and also get consulting services at no extra charge to design and plan new offerings. Additionally, Service Providers will have access to a comprehensive and continuous training program and curriculum and certification program.
- Updated Enablement Portal: For partners looking for insight into HYCU’s simplicity and unique feature set, the Portal offers a library of HYCU technical and sales enablement material along with a true hands-on labs experience. Users will have a chance to learn and play with anything from deployment, source and target setup, protection and recovery of VMs, physical machines and to self-service, and reporting.
- Multi-Cloud Incentive Program and Streamlined Deal Registration: HYCU has expanded its current partner Program to include a comprehensive multi-cloud focus. Partners now, in addition to getting paid by the Cloud Providers, also get direct incentives from HYCU for enabling the Customers Cloud journey. HYCU has also simplified the deal reg process along with increasing opportunities for incentives and movement between tiers of the program from Authorized to Premier.
Fujifilm Object Archive Software Pricing Model Announced
Last month, Fujifilm announced its Object Archive software for tape-based data storage systems. Now the company has rolled out the tape industry’s first pricing subscription model for a lower TCO. Key benefits to the software and pricing model include:
- Object-based Archive Software:
- Operates as Glacier in a data center, with no egress fees and an S3-compatible API
- Optimizes tape-tier for long-term retention
- Writes objects to tape with an open format
- Supports LTO-7 and above
- Leverages the latest generation of tape media
- Eliminates security risks for archive data via an air-gap only available with tape technology
- Lowest TCO, saves 86 percent versus disk and 66 percent versus cloud
- Subscription and Tape Subscription:
- Tiered pricing model based on capacity and term of the subscription
- FUJIFILM Object Archive is the first hardware-independent object storage solution that includes the media with the software subscription (2x software license capacity for both a primary and secondary copy).
- Pricing includes software upgrades, support and maintenance, and moves archive storage from CAPEX to OPEX with predictable, scalable, transparent pricing.
Komprise Extends Intelligent Data Management Capabilities
Komprise announced that it was extending its Intelligent Data Management capabilities to include cloud data.
