NVELO has announced that Dataplex Version 1.1.2.5 is now available for download, offering a 10% speed boost from their previous version. Like most caching solutions, Dataplex software keeps the most commonly accessed hot data on the SSD and lesser accessed cold data on the hard drive; however, what makes Dataplex unique is that it works extraordinarily well at the software level and is fairly inexpensive. The software itself is also drive agnostic and doesn’t require any hardware like a RAID card.

Version 1.1.2.5 contains the following key enhancements:
- Performance optimization: The newest version delivers appreciable performance improvements over previous releases. On average, internal benchmarking boasts 10% performance improvement over version 1.1.0.9, as measured by PCMark Vantage HDD Suite (using Dataplex with OCZ Synapse Cache 64GB on an Asus P67 motherboard with 1TB HDD)
Version 1.1.2.5 also resolves the following issues:
- Resume time from Unclean Shutdown. The newest version significantly improves the time to resume after an unclean shutdown occurs, such as a forced shut-down, BSOD, or power outage.
- Improved CPU utilization. In addition to general performance optimizations, the new release also addresses performance issues (CPU spikes) on certain PC platforms.
- Improved error handling and messaging. Version 1.1.2.5 provides extended error handling and messaging in the case of SSD failure events.
- Other misc bug fixes
