NVIDIA has unveiled today at the annual Autodesk Conference in Las Vegas, its first midrange professional GPU, the Quadro RTX 4000. Powered by the NVIDIA Turing architecture and the NVIDIA RTX platform, the Quadro RTX 4000 delivers real-time ray tracing to larger group of professionals.

The Quadro RTX 4000 provides the following benefits:
- Single-Slot design– Allows the GPU to fit in a variety of workstation chassis
- Performance Improvements – 40% more bandwidth than the previous generation Quadro P4000 is provided through 8GB of GDDR6 graphics memory technology
- 36 RT Cores– Enable real-time ray tracing of objects and environments with physically accurate shadows, reflections, refractions, and global illumination
- 288 Turing Tensor Cores for 57 TFLOPS of deep learning performance– Accelerate neural network training and inference, essential to powering AI-enhanced rendering, products, and services
- VirtualLink hardware support– new open industry standard meets the power, display, and bandwidth demands of next-generation VR headsets through a single USB-C connector
- Improved performance of VR applications– enhanced technologies including Variable Rate Shading, Multi-View Rendering, and VRWorks Audio
- Video encode and decode engines– video creation and playback acceleration for multiple video streams with resolutions up to 8K
For those attending Autodesk University, NVIDIA, booth C1201, will be demonstrating the Quadro RTX GPUs capabilities. Users are able to interact in real time with their complex designs and visual effects in ray-traced photo-realistic detail with increased throughput with rendering workloads, saving time and money.
Availability and Pricing
Estimated MSRP for the Quadro RTX 4000 is $900 and will be available on the NVIDIA website and workstation manufacturers including Dell, HPI, and Lenovo starting December. Developers may access the new NVIDIA RTX capabilities through OptiX, DXR, and Vulkan APIs.
