OCZ Showcases New Consumer and Enterprise SSDs [CES 2011]

OCZ announced a number of new consumer and enterprise products at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. The products announced include next-gen enterprise class SATA, SAS, Fibre Channel, and PCIe SSDs plus the Vertex 3 Pro consumer SSD with up to 550MB/s transfer rates.



OCZ announced a number of new consumer and enterprise products at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. The products announced include next-gen enterprise class SATA, SAS, Fibre Channel, and PCIe SSDs plus the Vertex 3 Pro consumer SSD with up to 550MB/s transfer rates.

OCZ showed off new Deneva class enterprise SSD products and next-gen PCIe-based solutions. They provide up to 50,000 IOPS and 285MB/s of bandwidth. Key features include power loss protection, improved endurance, encryption, and ECC protection through a variety of interfaces.
One enterprise product is the follow-up Z-Drive "R3" PCIe SSD based on a SandForce controller. It has up to 1GB/s transfer speed, 135,000 IOPS, and up to 1.2TB of capacity.

The company also showed off its new SATA Vertex 3 SSD based on MLC flash memory. Featuring a SATA 6Gbp/s interface, OCZ says it has up to 80,000 IOPS and a 550MB/s transfer rate..
