Today OCZ Storage Solutions announced that it would be unveiling its new JetExpress SSD Controller at CES. OCZ will also be unveiling its new enthusiast grade SSD, the Vector 180 series.
Today OCZ Storage Solutions announced that it would be unveiling its new JetExpress SSD Controller at CES. OCZ will also be unveiling its new enthusiast grade SSD, the Vector 180 series.
The JetExpress controller will be the controller for all of OCZ’s future product line. The JetExpress controller is highly anticipated and has been the buzz for quite some time. The JetExpress was developed and designed in-house and is native SATA and PCIe/NVMe.
JetExpress benefits include:
- Multiple form factor support including: M.2, 2.5” SATA, and SFF-8639
- The supported form factors enable PCI Express speeds in 2.5” form factor
- Offers superior flash endurance
The Vector 180 series is an enthusiast grade SSD with reliability as its main selling point. The SSDs will have onboard Power Failure Management Plus feature to provide “industry-leading performance.” The Vector 180 series will be available in 120GB, 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB capacity.
Availability
The Vector 180 series is expected to be available in early 2015.
