OCZ Technology (Nasdaq:OCZ) has announced a unique win for their Deneva 2 SSD Series – the drives has been qualified by Olive for use in their audiophile-grade 04HD and 06HD music servers. The SSDs provide an alternative for Olive customers who prefer the reduced noise, heat and power consumption when compared to the current 2TB hard drive offering.

To say Olive’s solutions are for audiophiles, somewhat undersells their target market. Their HD music servers feature high-resolution Digital-Analog-Converters, low-noise power supplies, and color touch-screen technology. The use of the Deneva 2 SSDs lets the machines become more or less silent, eliminating more electronic noise – perhaps the Holy Grail for those who enjoy high-end audio gear.

Olive will offer 240GB and 480GB OCZ Deveva 2 SSDs in their O4HD and O6HD music servers. The systems are available now directly through Olive
