OWC has recently revealed its latest innovation, Jellyfish XT, which offers a unique solution for collaboration and shared storage. In addition, they have also expanded their Atlas ecosystem by introducing a new software called “Innergize”.
OWC Jellyfish XT
Jellyfish XT is a full flash-based storage solution that provides up to 360TB (which can be extended up to 720TB) of usable storage and features both 100Gb and 10Gb Ethernet connectivity, effectively eliminating any workflow bottlenecks and latency.
The latest OWC solution has been specifically created to meet the needs of the most challenging workflows, while also providing options for expanding its capabilities to support higher resolutions and bitrates in the future. It is equipped to handle 4k/8k/12k, VR, or AR content with ease, allowing teams to collaborate on projects seamlessly.
Other Key features of Jellyfish XT include is its connectivity through 2x 100GbE QSFP288 ports and 2x10GbE ports, and its high-capacity storage of up to 300TB in a single head unit, expandable to a total flash storage of 1.5 Petabytes.
OWC Innergize Software and Dual-Slot Memory Card Readers
The introduction of the Innergize software and dual-slot memory card readers will help users to further optimize their offloading capabilities.
This software is designed to monitor the health of Atlas memory cards and provides users with tools to sanitize and field-upgrade firmware, ensuring optimal compatibility and peak performance. This software is available for free to use and supports all Atlas memory cards or readers.
The OWC Atlas Dual Slot CFexpress Type B and SDXC UHS II card reader, as well as the OWC Atlas Dual Slot SDXC UHS II card reader, are specifically designed for heavy workloads. Both readers feature a heat-dissipating design, write-protect switch, and built-in USB-C cable that can be easily tucked away when not in use.
The OWC Atlas Dual CFexpress and SD Card Card Reader is quoted to deliver up to 1,032MB/s read, which is roughly mid-range speeds for the form factor. It features a second USB-C port (so you can attach a longer cable at your studio/home office) with built-in protection if accidentally disconnected to power supply.
It also features non-skid rubber feet keep reader in place (as well as OWC ClingOn support to secure your USB-C cable) and is equipped with separate LEDs for at-a-glance updates on each slot’s power and activity status.
The OWC Atlas Dual Slot SDXC UHS II card reader is a rugged-looking, pock-sized device that can be outfitted with two SDXC UHS-II memory cards simultaneously at over 300MB/s per card. It also comes with a second USB-C port on the back to add further flexibility.
