Patriot Memory has launched its new Gauntlet Node 2.5” hard drive or SSD enclosure, offering up to one terabyte of storage that can be accessed via USB 3.0 or built-in WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n. The enclosure can be powered by an internal battery for completely wireless operation.

According to Patriot, the Gauntlet Node (announced previously as the Gauntlet Wifi) can stream movies, music, and photos or transfer data continuously for up to 5.5 hours on one battery charge. Using Gauntlet Connect, available through Google Play, Amazon App Store, and iTunes, the Gauntlet Node is capable of sharing or streaming to up to 8 connected devices.
