Promise Technology is now shipping its Pegasus four- and six-bay RAID solutions, equipped with the new Thunderbolt connection. With up to 12TB of storage, the company says the Pegasus can reach an 864MB/s transfer rate.
The Pegasus is available as either a four- or six-bay storage solution; supported RAID modes include 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. Physically they have an aluminum enclosure and a smart fan for low noise. Its power supply has an 80 PLUS rating and active fan management. Pegasus models feature two Thunderbolt ports. Pricing and Availability
The Pegasus RAID solutions are available now from the Apple store. The four-bay, 4TB solution is $999 while the six-bay, 12TB $1,999. More configurations will be available in the future.
