Pure Storage announced the availability of a new Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) for VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager and an enhanced VMware vSphere Web Client Plug-in. The new solutions, used in conjunction with the FlashArray 400 series, will deliver “a simple and seamless storage and virtualization management experience, comprehensive disaster recovery protection, and scalable availability for VMware environments.”

The Pure Storage SRA offers native integration between Purity FlashRecover Replications, Snapshots, and Protection policies simplifying disaster recovery. Site Recovery Manager policies can be tested and validated without disruption of production applications or array replication.

- Provide an automated default data protection and replication policy to an entire vSphere cluster
- Provide differentiated data protection and replication policies to vSphere datastores and datastore clusters

Pure Storage’s enhanced VMware vSphere Web Client Plug-in provides great operational agility for VMware users. The enhanced Plug-in will also increase application performance and availability for VMs. When combined with vCenter Site Recovery manager, the enhanced Plug-in provides an end-to-end data protection solution.

Pure Storage’s Storage Replication Adapter and an enhanced VMware vSphere Web Client Plug-in are available now at no additional cost to customers. The SRA is compatible with VMware vSphere SRM versions 5.5, 5.8, and future releases while the enhanced Plug-in is compatible with VMware vSphere version 5.1 and higher.
