The Pure FlashArray//C20 offers a simplified, flash-based solution that provides the same competitive $/TiB as larger arrays.

Pure Storage has introduced the FlashArray//C20, an entry-level addition to its FlashArray family, designed to deliver enterprise-class performance, reliability, and scalability at an accessible price point for smaller and edge deployments. By extending the FlashArray architecture, Pure Storage combines robust storage capabilities with capacity and cost tailored to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

The FlashArray//C20 offers a simplified, flash-based solution that provides the same competitive $/TiB as larger arrays. This makes it an appealing alternative for businesses moving away from hybrid storage systems for critical workloads.

Addressing the Needs of Business-Critical Workloads

The FlashArray//C20 is purpose-built to meet the storage demands of business-critical applications requiring high availability and consistently low latency. However, unlike mission-critical workloads, these applications don’t demand maximum performance, making it challenging for organizations to find the right product that balances capacity and price. Applications such as large-scale VMs, databases, development/testing environments, and disaster recovery rely on storage solutions that support entry-level capacity with enterprise-grade quality.

Current market options have often required businesses to compromise by choosing hybrid storage for its affordability or paying a premium for performance-optimized flash they don’t fully utilize. The FlashArray//C20 provides an alternative, offering a capacity-optimized solution tailored for these workloads, delivering flash performance and reliability at a cost comparable to hybrid storage solutions. Configurations support smaller capacities that are well-suited for edge environments and workloads scaling up to petabyte levels, enabled by Pure Storage’s DirectFlash Modules (DFMs). The entry-level model starts at 148TB, giving customers the power and scalability of the Pure Storage platform at an approachable initial capacity.

Enterprise-Grade Economics and Capabilities

The FlashArray//C20 is finely tuned for low-latency performance, high density, and cost-efficient $/GB economics typically expected from hybrid storage arrays. For over 15 years, Pure Storage has built a reputation for supporting customers’ businesses with reliable and efficient storage solutions. With the Pure Storage platform, customers gain workload optimization, easy migration across environments, and seamless management from a single control plane provided by Pure1 and Pure Fusion.

The FlashArray//C20 is part of the Pure Storage platform and benefits from key platform advantages, including intelligent fleet management, autonomous modeling, a global storage pool, and a unified OS. These features enhance workload mobility and simplify management, allowing businesses to effortlessly handle multiple storage arrays.
