Pure Storage Joins OpenStack Foundation And Releases Two New Solutions

Pure Storage has announced that it has joined the OpenStack Foundation as a corporate sponsor and has pledged to actively participate in the development of the OpenStack codebase. Pure Storage also announced the release of two new solutions: OpenStack Cinder Driver that integrates OpenStack-based private and public clouds with Purity Operating Environment (OE), and Python Automation Toolkit, which extends Pure Storage’s FlashArray family of products out-of-the-box automation via Python scripts.

Pure Storage also announced the release of two new solutions: OpenStack Cinder Driver that integrates OpenStack-based private and public clouds with Purity Operating Environment (OE), and Python Automation Toolkit, which extends Pure Storage’s FlashArray family of products out-of-the-box automation via Python scripts.

The OpenStack Foundation is made of thousands of individual members to promote the development, distribution, and adoption of the OpenStack cloud operating system. Pure Storage will help the OpenStack Foundation advance open storage standards in the enterprise by contributing its work and platform enhancements to the foundation. With Pure Storage’s collaboration, support will be provided to increase OpenStack’s functionality, ease complexity, and simplify implementation.
