Pure Storage has introduced three advanced Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) service-level agreements (SLAs) designed to empower organizations by guaranteeing outcomes and reducing risk in their critical data infrastructure. These new SLAs—cyber recovery, optimization and resilience, and site rebalance—are set to enhance the capabilities of the Pure Storage platform.
Addressing the AI-Driven Cyber Threat Landscape
As AI revolutionizes business, it simultaneously increases the frequency and impact of cyber attacks, particularly ransomware. Many existing IT infrastructures lack the flexibility needed to protect data and recover swiftly in the event of an attack.
The Pure Storage platform addresses this challenge by delivering agility and risk reduction through a consistent storage platform and an as-a-service experience suitable for on-premises, public cloud, and hosted environments. Central to this platform is the Evergreen architecture, which ensures continuous, non-disruptive upgrades, enabling enterprises to adapt to dynamic business environments. With a record number of concurrent SLAs, Pure Storage provides the reliability, performance, and sustainability modern businesses require.
Innovations in Cyber Resiliency
Expanding on its existing cyber resiliency offerings, including SafeMode for ransomware recovery, Pure Storage has announced innovations enabled by the Evergreen platform that include:
Enhanced Cyber Recovery and Resilience SLA: Building on its pioneering ransomware recovery SLA, Evergreen//One now includes disaster recovery scenarios. This enhanced SLA delivers a customized recovery plan, ships clean service infrastructure within a defined SLA, provides onsite installation, and offers additional professional services for data transfer. In addition, Pure will collaborate with organizations to build and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. Ongoing quarterly reviews are included to ensure best practices adherence, ongoing risk assessments, and operational security remediation. This ensures organizations can rapidly restore normal operations during unforeseen disruptive events. Pure guarantees to help restore normal operations.
New Security Assessment: The latest Security Assessment offers deep visibility into fleet-level security risks and actionable recommendations to maximize cyber resilience. Using aggregated intelligence from over 10,000 environments, it benchmarks the security posture of the entire storage fleet with numerical scores from 0 to 5. The assessment aligns with NIST 2.0 standards, advances regulatory compliance, and offers best practices for remediating security anomalies. An AI co-pilot leverages the assessment to help Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) benchmark their security posture against other Pure customers.
New AI-powered Anomaly Detection Enhancement: This enhancement detects threats such as ransomware attacks, unusual activity, malicious behavior, and Denial of Service attacks through performance anomalies. It expands on previous ransomware detection capabilities and uses multiple machine-learning models to identify anomalous behavior. Analyzing customer environments with historical data helps identify recovery point targets to restore data quickly, reducing operational impact and guesswork.
Flexibility and Future-Proofing with Site Rebalance SLA
In today’s dynamic market, IT must rapidly adapt. Pure Storage continues to lead with the only STaaS solution that allows scaling up and down.
New Site Rebalance SLA: The Evergreen//One Site Rebalance SLA delivers service flexibility for organizations looking to adjust existing reserve commitments as their storage requirements evolve. If there are no longer capacity needs at a specific site, if a data center is being consolidated, or if performance at one site was oversized and excess capacity exists that can be used elsewhere, the Site Rebalance SLA empowers organizations to rebalance reserve commitments once every 12 months for each Evergreen//One subscription.
Prakash Darji, GM, Digital Experience at Pure Storage, emphasized the company’s mission, explaining, “As Pure Storage continues to revolutionize enterprise data storage, our mission remains: to provide a simple, flexible, and resilient as-a-service storage platform that not only addresses current data and storage management needs but mitigates future risk and uncertainty. Through continuously improving services and the broadest set of outcome-driven SLAs, Pure is the only data storage platform future-proofed for innovation.”
