QNAP has announced the release of their newest network interface cards, the dual-port 25GbE QXG-25G2SF-CX4 and 10GbE QXG-10G2SF-CX4. When installed in a server-grade PC, the new QNAP NICs are expected to significantly improve workflows in offices and homes. As far as components go, both cards are equipped with a Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx SmartNIC controller and support iSER (iSCSI Extension for RDMA) to help improve VMware virtualization. The NICs support the PCIe Gen3 x8 interface and can be installed on Windows or Linux PCs as well as inside compatible QNAP NAS solutions.
