QNAP has announced the availability of three new JBOD enclosures, the TL-D400S (4-bay), TL-D800S (8-bay) and TL-D1600S (16-bay), as well as the 4-bay TL-R400S and 12-bay TL-R1200S-RP rackmounts. These storage enclosures can be directly attached to compatible NAS, PCs and servers using SFF-8088 cables and a QXP PCIe card. Moreover, the TL SATA JBOD supports multi-lane SATA 6Gb/s transfer with SATA lanes directly connecting to a single SATA drive for better performance.

The TL SATA JBOD can be used with QNAP NAS solutions, such as setting RAID parameters and creating a storage pool with the Storage and Snapshots app, and can be used as NAS external storage device. In addition, the QNAP JBOD Manager desktop utility can easily display information about the JBOD status, health, fan speed, and firmware updates.
The TL SATA JBOD supports both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s drives while the TL-R1200S-RP features a redundant power supply to optimize system uptime.
