Powered by an Intel Xeon Quad-core processor, the XN8016R and XN8024R come equipped with 8GB of DDR4 ECC Memory, which can be scaled up to a whopping 128GB. Moreover, both rackmounts run QSM, QSAN’s comprehensive proprietary operating system that features file sharing, data backup, and security functionality. QSM runs on ZOL (ZFS on Linux) as well. This is an enterprise-grade transactional file system that leverages storage pools to manage physical storage.
