ERN2U12B 2U 12-Bay
The ERN2U12B-SC2P-SAS/NAS is an all-in-one subsystem configurable to a 19-inch rack-mountable 2U chassis. It houses up to 12 hot-swappable SAS/SATA II hard drives and RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 30, 50, 60, plus JBOD. It supports NAS, DAS (SAS/Fiber), and iSCSI and has two Gigabit Etnerhet ports. Other features include hot spare support, automatic hot rebuild, and online capacity expansion within the enclosure.
Specifications of the unit include an Intel Quad Core Xeon 2.0G or above (single or dual processors), 3GB – 32GB of RAM, two 650W hot-swappable hard drives with PFC, and an expansion PCI slot.
ERD3U16B 16-Bay
The ERD3U16B series RAID-DAS subsystem with SAS or Fiber Channel host performance. The 19-inch 3U rack-mountable chassis supports up to 16 drives and RAID levels 0, 1, 10 (1E), 3, 5, 6, 30, 50, 60, and JBOD. It also supports dual controllers for better fault tolerance.
Five models are available in the series, including 4Gb/s and 8Gb/s Fiber Channel-SAS models, SAS-SAS models, and one or two SAS expanders.
Availability
The ERD3U16B and ERN2U12B series will be available at the end of January 2011; pricing information has not been announced.
