SanDisk has begun shipping its G3 Solid State Drives in North America and Europe. The G3 comes in 60GB and 120GB capacities for a suggested $229.99 and $399.99 respectively. In terms of performance the G3 features 220 Mb/s read and 120 Mb/s write times.

Other highlights of the drives include SanDisk’s flash management system called ExtremeFFS. ExtremeFFS is SanDisk’s batch of algorithms to make the writes to the SSD as efficient as possible, not only speeding up access times, but also reducing wear on the drive. The G3 line also supports TRIM.

The SanDisk G3 line of SSDs is available now in 60GB (SDS7CB-060G-G25) and 120GB (SDS7CB-120G-G25) capacities with prices of $229.99 and $399.99 respectively.
