The IronWolf Pro is tailored for commercial and enterprise NAS applications, video production RAID, shared network storage, workstations, and servers. With its comprehensive feature set, the IronWolf Pro 24TB hard drive is a robust solution for businesses seeking reliable, high-capacity NAS storage solutions.
With its impressive range of capacities (from 2TB up to 24TB), the IronWolf Pro line meets the scaling needs of all types of growing businesses. It is particularly noted for its high sustained transfer rate of 285MB/s, which is critical for companies handling large volumes of data. The drive boasts a high workload rating of up to 550TB/year and a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 2.5 million hours. In addition to its capacity and performance, the IronWolf Pro 24TB is optimized for NAS systems through Seagate’s AgileArray technology. This technology integrates dual-plane balancing and time-limited error recovery (TLER), ensuring optimal performance in multi-bay systems. The drive also includes built-in rotational vibration (RV) sensors and dual-plane balancing to mitigate vibrations and maintain consistent performance and reliability.
Seagate’s IronWolf Health Management system is another key feature of the new IronWolf Pro drive. It offers data protection through prevention, intervention, and recovery recommendations, ensuring peak system health in compatible NAS systems. The drive also comes with a five-year limited warranty and three years of the company’s Rescue Data Recovery Services, providing an additional data safety net. Seagate indicates a high recovery rate, which helps to reduce the potential costs associated with data corruption or drive damage.
