By expanding the total capacity of a 42U rack to 9PB while also improving endurance and energy-efficiency, the 10TB Enterprise HDD promises to minimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) for the industry's top cloud service providers. In terms of non-structural features, Seagate's 10TB Enterprise HDD uses advanced caching algorithms to maximize performance, and PowerChoice technology to reduce power consumption during idle time.
