StorCentric has announced that it will be acquiring storage companies Drobo and Nexsan. StorCentric states that these acquisitions will offer their customers an extensive portfolio as well as brand new performance-driven and secure offerings.
StorCentric has announced that it will be acquiring storage companies Drobo and Nexsan. StorCentric states that these acquisitions will offer their customers an extensive robust portfolio as well as brand new performance-driven and secure offerings.
Drobo and Nexsan are expected to act as independent divisions under StorCentric and will report directly to CEO Mihir Shah. Both brands will also continue to support their customers, partners, and channel community to ensure minimal downtime of operations and services.
Drobo is a producer of SMB and enterprise external storage devices, including DAS, SAN and NAS appliances (for example, the Drobo 5N2 5-Bay NAS, Drobo B810n Hybrid Storage System and Drobo Gen 3). Similarly, Nexsan is known for its unified storage system, Unity, which supports both NAS and SAN protocols, Fibre Channel and iSCSI connectivity, and supports both hybrid and all-flash models. The addition of two companies' portfolio will certainly add a ton of versatility to StorCentric's offerings, as they plan to expand their offerings to the creative, entertainment, education, government, healthcare and surveillance markets.
