Super Talent UltraDrive MX SSD Launched

Super Talent Technology has added to their SSD line with the UltraDrive MX SSD. The UltraDrive MX is highlighted by the becomingly popular SATA II and mini-USB dual-interface. The USB connection makes it simple to use the drive externally, great for cloning the drive for use in a new machine, without the need for an external enclosure.

Super Talent UltraDrive MX SSD

On the performance front, Super Talent is using the new JMicron JMF616 controller which pumps out speeds of 250MB/s read and 180MB/s write. The UltraDrive MX also supports garbage collection and TRIM.

Availability

The UltraDrive MX will begin shipping September 1st and will be available in 60GB, 120GB, 240 and 480GB capacities. Pricing has not yet been announced.
