Supermicro states that this new generation of products will raise the bar of performance and efficiency on what single processor platforms can do. Today’s announcement delivers the industry’s broadest range of workstations, long-life embedded solutions, and motherboard platforms supporting the new Intel Xeon Processor E3-1200 v5 Family (formally known as Skylake-S).

Supermicro’s X11 generation UP systems fit a wide range of use-cases including embedded server and security appliances, Cloud computing, web hosting, and network appliances. The new solutions support DDR4 memory, USB 3.1, M.2, Dual 10GBase-T and Quad Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, IPMI 2.0, up to 7x PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots with Supermicro WIO (Wide I/O) flexible expansion slot capability, SATA DOM (Disk on Module) support.
