Further details include:
Efficient Resource Management- DSM 3.2 adds the option to function as part of an existing LDAP environment or to create a new one, acting as a directory services solution. The Syslog server allows administrators to centralize logging for their network. The Remote Folder service allows aggregating various network CIFS shares in one location. ISOs can now be mounted and shared from the DiskStation to speed mass-installations.
Enhanced Mobility Options- With DSM mobile, users can manage their DiskStations from Apple iOS devices and Android phones, improving their ability to work on the go. Google Cloud Print support allows printing from anywhere users have network access. AirPrint support is improved to include multifunction printers.
Versioning Improvements- Time Backup update allows for file versioning to another DiskStation within the network.
And should you try the beta and find bugs, that actually may be a good thing. Synology will award a Synology remote and trophy to three beta testers who provide the most valuable assistance and feedback during the program.
