Application updates for DSM 4.3 beta deliver greater functionality. The new Cloud Station private cloud enables users to pick and choose which files and documents to sync across devices, and Synology has added a Linux client to its existing clients. Further, Cloud Station saves the portion of files that have been modified for more efficient storage. Photo Station has been updated to v6 and now makes it easier to view photos with a mosaic-type format and features more ways to organize photo libraries. Video Station now supports Roku TV and includes definable permissions.
Synology has also added even more features to DSM 4.3 beta. Offload Data Transfer (ODX) produces greater iSCSI storage performance now when used in conjunction with Windows 2012 Servers. There is also now support for SSD caching from any tray in XS and XS+ models, and there is Full Link Aggregation Support with Synology High Availability (SHA) for improved SHA cluster performance. Synology has also updated its iOS and Android apps, and now the Windows app matches the features of those apps.
