Teradata is the industry’s first to deploy automatic block-level compression into its architecture, delivering ultra high performance when compressing data. Data is automatically compressed and decompressed as needed without requiring a database administrator. The new Data Warehouse Appliance will take advantage of Teradata Columnar with Teradata Database 14, delivering further advanced levels of performance and compression.

This symbiotic capability provides flexible growth options and protects the technology investment. In addition, no set up is required, eliminating any need for system integration. The Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance can be configured from 2TB up to 315TB of uncompressed user data per cabinet, scanning data at more than 38GB per second per full cabinet.
