Considered by iXsystems as the official merger of FreeNAS and TrueNAS, TrueNAS 12 has a lot to offer organizations and is arguably one of the most comprehensive NAS software platforms out there. The company claims that virtually all significant bugs were resolved in the previous release (TrueNAS 12.0-U2), so everything after this is considered improvements to an already-stable platform.
