Unisys Corporation today announced release 2.2 of its Secure Private Cloud Solution, with an integrated edition of Unisys Stealth Solution for Network that automates security infrastructure implementation for virtual machines provisioned through the Secure Private Cloud Solution.
Unisys Corporation today announced release 2.2 of its Secure Private Cloud Solution, with an integrated edition of Unisys Stealth Solution for Network that automates security infrastructure implementation for virtual machines provisioned through the Secure Private Cloud Solution.
Clients can deploy the Secure Private Cloud Solution as a special-purpose cloud or integrate it into a hybrid environment that leverages existing cloud and network infrastructure. Groups of related users can share the same cloud, with one group’s information protected from unauthorized use by members of another. Individuals can be members of more than one community and, with appropriate permissions, can view information used by multiple communities.
The Secure Private Cloud solution includes a dashboard that gives administrators a single point of management for all resources. The solution’s Usage Monitoring and Chargeback capability tracks and reports on resource utilization and allocates the charge back to the relevant business group.
Pricing and Availability
Unisys is making the Secure Private Cloud Solution available to channel resellers through the company’s recently announced software channel initiative. The Secure Private Cloud Solution has been certified “Vblock Ready” and is available for VCE Vblock Systems, which integrate Cisco networking and server, EMC storage and VMware cloud infrastructure technologies into a single converged system.
Pricing for Secure Private Cloud Solution begins at roughly $95,000. Pricing estimate assumes 2 tenants and single-type-of-workload small installation or a proof of concept with one Secure Private Cloud appliance, 10 concurrent Stealth for Networks connections, Secure Private Cloud software licenses to manage up to 8 sockets, and installation services. Estimate excludes customization work, maintenance fees and VMware licenses.
