Veeam Data Platform combines the latest features from Veeam into a single solution offered in three enterprise-grade editions to protect Cloud, Virtual, Physical SaaS, and Kubernetes applications across complex and expanding IT environments. The platform addresses organizations’ increasing challenges, from outages to errors and cyber threats.
Veeam Editions
The new platform delivers three key requirements, data security, data recovery, and freedom to backup and use your data from anywhere without a platform or cloud lock-in. Veeam Data Platform is available in three editions:
- Foundation Edition offers the industry’s most complete data protection with Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) v12, which adds over 500 new features and enhancements.
- Advanced Edition combines VBR with VeeamONE giving customers deep, intelligent monitoring and observability to identify and resolve any backup or recovery problems before they begin.
- Premium Edition, the premier package, offers enterprise Modern Data Protection and recovery capabilities with VBR, VeeamONE, and Veeam Recovery Orchestrator (VRO). Building on the other editions, Premium adds the full automation of complex data recovery processes with near-zero Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) while automating testing and providing complete data resiliency with one-click recovery. Premium edition customers are eligible for the new Veeam Ransomware Warranty, which covers the cost of data recovery, up to 5 million dollars, in the event of a ransomware or cyber-attack.
Enterprise-Grade Recovery Across the Hybrid Cloud
Veeam Data Platform leverages the latest backup and recovery technology with Veeam Backup & Replication v12 as its foundation. The new VBR v12 functionality advances enterprise-grade recovery capabilities across the hybrid cloud, including:
- New direct-to-object storage backup that takes advantage of the scalability of on-premises and cloud object storage without sacrificing performance. Send enterprise-scale data center backups directly to Veeam’s broad ecosystem of object storage partners on-premises with the needed performance.
- Trusted immutability everywhere ensures backups can always be restored after a cyberattack with comprehensive, enterprise-grade immutability options from trusted vendors, including on-premises object, block and file storage, hardened repositories, and deduplicating storage appliances, cloud object storage, and tape.
- Cyber resilience enables the fastest response to ransomware attacks by identifying, alerting, and restoring with clean data, including automation and proven orchestration of all workload recoveries. Empower a zero-trust journey with multi-factor authentication (MFA) and password-less service accounts, and fortify your defense against cyberattacks with Kerberos-only and IPv6-only environment support.
- Hybrid-cloud optimization achieves even greater efficiency and security across the hybrid cloud with immutable backups for AWS and Microsoft Azure workloads, cloud-integrated agents, orchestrated disaster recovery (DR) to Azure, and unified cloud monitoring and reporting.
- Ecosystem Excellence with Veeam Universal Storage API 2.0 and NEW Smart Object Storage API provides even more future-proofing for enterprise scalability and offsite resiliency. Ecosystem vendors include Pure Storage, Scality, and Object First as the inaugural launch partners that integrate with these new APIs.
Veeam’s monitoring and analytics solution delivers intelligent insights and visibility within the new Veeam Data Platform to help identify and resolve issues before problems occur, resulting in greater protection of critical data. The latest version includes more Veeam backup environments and solutions, including Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, immutability reporting, and data protection statuses for multi-cloud.
The new Veeam Data Platform also includes recovery orchestration, with tools that cut down the time to recovery. Businesses can simplify operations and automate processes by orchestrating the steps needed to recover from a disaster. The Veeam Data Platform now delivers automated recovery to Microsoft Azure, restores any Veeam Agents backups as virtual machines, orchestrates anti-virus scanning during test and recovery, and more.
New Ransomware Warranty
Veeam takes a multi-layered approach to ransomware, so businesses are confident and prepared for worst-case scenarios. The New Veeam Ransomware Warranty, which complements the Veeam Data Platform, is a commitment to Veeam customers that in the event of a ransomware attack, Veeam will cover the cost of data recovery, up to 5 million dollars.
The new Veeam Ransomware Warranty for eligible users includes a 30-minute support service level agreement (SLA), a dedicated support account manager, quarterly health checks for best-practice operations, and design and installation services through a Veeam Accredited Service Provider. Veeam will deploy the Veeam Ransomware SWAT team, which consists of a dedicated team of security support experts trained in ransomware recovery who will help fight for your business in the event of an attack.
Product extensions may be added to any Veeam Data Platform editions, including backup for Kubernetes with Kasten by Veeam K10, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, and Veeam Backup for Salesforce.
