WD has announced a new version of its My Book Studio external hard drive featuring USB 3.0 capability, which provides data transfer speeds up to three times faster than USB 2.0. Additionally, WD has added 4 TB capacity in a single-drive configuration making it an ideal solution for backing up large amounts of digital content.


WD has announced a new version of its My Book Studio external hard drive featuring USB 3.0 capability, which provides data transfer speeds up to three times faster than USB 2.0. Additionally, WD has added 4 TB capacity in a single-drive configuration making it an ideal solution for backing up large amounts of digital content.

The My Book Studio also works seamlessly with Apple Time Machine for protecting and backing up users’ professional and personal content. The package also includes WD Security, which allows users to password protect their drive along with 256-bit hardware-based encryption for enhanced security against unauthorized access to the drive. Sporting a premium aluminum enclosure, the My Book Studio drive will be available in 1 TB, 2 TB, 3 TB and 4 TB capacities.

The My Book Studio external hard drive ships with a 3-year limited warranty and can be purchased at the WD store (www.wdstore.com) as well as at select retailers and distributors.
