Fusion-io has announced Webair has deployed Fusion ioMemory storage solutions for their web hosting and infrastructure services business. Webair selected the Fusion-io product to accelerate response times, providing customers with rapid I/O speeds to cloud-based database servers.

Webair is branding the Fusion-io powered solution as FusionCloud, promising not just "the fastest disk speeds available in the Cloud," but they guarantee each Fusion-io volume will deliver 10,000 IOPS or more. For those who need an outsourced hosting environment for resource intensive applications, such a guarantee should garner plenty of attention.

Prices start at $229/month, which includes 50GB SAN storage and 10GB Fusion-io disk. Plans scale up to $699/month for a larger 300GB SAN, 20GB Fusion-io disk and increased bandwidth and RAM. Of course Webair also offers custom packages for those who have special needs.

While it’s not immediately clear which Fusion-io product(s) Webair has deployed, it’s likely the ioDrive2, of which Fusion-io shipped 10,000 of in their last fiscal quarter. The ioDrive2 is offered in both MLC and SLC versions with capacities up to 2.4TB and 1.2TB respectively and a starting price of around $6,000.
