Maker of the WD TV media player family, Western Digital, has added a ton of new sports and entertainment services to their product. Now included with the previously offered channels are streaming movie service VUDU, XOS College Sports, Comedy Time, Watch Mojo and others.

VUDU, the movie streaming service, offers 1080p resolution movies with Dolby 7.1 sound, all on demand without late fees, while SnagFilms offers free access to independent films. XOS College Sports displays archived college sports footage, while the live stuff from the Southeastern Conference is delivered by SEC Digital. Comedy Time offers comedic shorts, and Watch Mojo is like Youtube, but with premium content.

WD also released a TV remote app for Android and Apple devices, which turns them into advanced feature remote controls, and greatly improves navigating through the WD TV menus. The new app provides all the features of the old app, but adds some good stuff like a gesture pad, a QWERTY keyboard, and a favorites screen.

All of the services are currently available on the WD TV Live and Live Hub through the Western Digital Store, starting at $99.99, while the remote app can be found on the iTunes store, and will be on the Android Marketplace soon.
