Integrating backup, replication and recovery software, enterprise-grade cloud storage, and WAN traffic optimization, Zetta.net DataProtect for NetApp offers:
- Open Replication – This enables the browsing of backup files and folders in the cloud prior to recovery, allowing for more granular and faster restores.
- Flexible Recovery – This gives the flexibility to recover backup data to other servers or filers instead of having to restore data to another NetApp system.
- Incremental forever backups – After the initial full backup, Zetta detects incremental changes in the data and applies them to the existing offsite backup copy, bringing it current.
Zetta.net also removes NDMP inefficiencies and supports UNIX and NTFS ACLSs as well as LUN backups and restores. In addition, it offers incremental forever backup and replication for long-term data availability.
To install DataProtect for NetApp, users simply have download and deploy the lightweight ZettaMirror software on a gateway server. When the installation has completed, users can easily map the ZettaMirror client to the NetApp filer, selecting the data to be backed up.
