ZumoDrive has announced a partnership with HP to power HP’s new CloudDrive software on its HP Mini netbooks starting in January 2010. CloudDrive will allow consumers to quickly transfer all their files onto their new netbooks even if they have more data than available storage.

CloudDrive is powered by ZumoDrive technology; it stores files on a remote server but it shows up as a local drive on the netbook. Users will be able access and save files and even stream media files right from the CloudDrive. All content stored on CloudDrive is securely managed by Amazon’s S3 service. Storage options up to 500GB will be offered.
